A feature Jack created so that hashtags for neo Nazi pyramid schemes promoted by scammers and money launderers would stand out more and attract investment from idiots.
A hashflag is an overpriced fancy emoji designed to keep Twitter afloat. They go for $1m a pop.

It’s honestly the end product of overhyped influencer/corporate marketing. No sane person would ever spend that for a stupid emoji that will cease to exist after the event.

Gotta push those new models before people find out you don’t need them for ProRes.

Foxconn shipped a car prototype into the US yesterday. This event was just announced for Monday.

It seems odd to me that MacRumors hasn't mentioned that car prototype at all. It doesn't seem like all that much of a stretch to say that the Foxconn car is actually Apple's and that it'll be unveiled on Monday.

We know Foxconn just bought a car factory in Wisconsin. I don't think Foxconn would choose to start in the US market - plenty of car companies have successfully started in China in the past few decades. Only Tesla has successfully started in the US in the past 50 years. Foxconn has limited reason to manufacture in the US - they have limited infrastructure/employees in the US.

A major reason Foxconn would choose to start in the US is because they're not actually building the car for themselves - they're building the car for Apple.

Apple has so many things they're doing in autos - as Musk said a few years ago, it's an open secret that Apple is working on a car. Why not reveal it now? Apple needs employees to build the car - revealing it will kickstart the hiring efforts at Foxconn's new US factory, plus it'll help Apple figure out how much demand actually exists for a car from them.

What's a hashflag?

...oh wait, that's a hashishflag... 😝

Dear Apple,

I LOVE how you're hyping up this event. Haven't been this excited since .... in a LONG time. Please don't disappoint.

My expectations aren't super high; just looking forward to an M1X MacBook Pro that packs some power and/or an M1X iMac that trumps a mid tier Mac Pro
