A new unique #AppleEvent "hashflag" has surfaced on Twitter for next week's "California Streaming" all-digital Apple event to increase visibility and maximize hype on the social media network.

The custom Twitter hashtag includes a multi-colored Apple logo, and it's live as of 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Apple has used the little icons next to hashtags on Twitter for all its previous events since late last year. The company's first use of a hashflag was for its September 2020 event, when it announced the iPad Air and Apple Watch.

Twitter allows brands to add the custom emojis next to hashtags as a marketing strategy. According to Agency Creative, each one can cost upwards of one million dollars, and they are commonly used for large events like the Super Bowl or holidays.

Apple's event is set to take place on Tuesday, September 14, where it is expected to announce the new iPhone 13 lineup alongside the Apple Watch Series 7.

I “need” a 14” MBP— currently without a laptop due to a roof leak… so, hoping that event isn’t too far behind this one. OR— maybe the MBP will be a “one more thing” kinda announcement?! lol

I heard rumours about pure black matte, anyone knows anything about that? Looking forward for the 13 pro
Could be, who knows? Just have to wait a week.
They made the space gray darker with the 12 pro series, might as well change things up and go even darker this time

So if they only release new apple silicon 16" MBP's are you going to look elsewhere? :)
Lol! Honestly, I don’t know!! I might just get back on a larger format like that. Is there rumors against 14”?! I thought everything thus far has implied both 14 and 16”.

Worst case scenario, I’d buy a comparatively cheaper MBA M1, and gimp along with that until a smaller Apple silicon MBP is updated to drop the Touch Bar.

I’m a programmer, so a MBA would suffice for the most part— it’s the function keys I need! Not a Touch Bar. heh I also want to see the return of the MagSafe and SD slot…

Huge improvement on video recording system in the phone, making it specifically attractive to Youtuber and Tiktok streamers? Specifically good at recording the transition from night sky to sunrise?

I’m thinking this is the year they finally bring back matte/jet black. I also think the new MacBook Pros will have the deep black option. We’ll see.

nice to see so many members so very much excited about this. But imo it’s going to be a very dry event. Some mediocre upgrade and some other products.
Think Apple had their super cycle last year.
but while at it I am hoping for 16” MBP too

I can't tell you how much I want an eggplant/maroon/deep purple color for the iPhone, it would look incredible IMO

This kind of maroon or am I off the mark? This was always my favorite color Apple device, I'd love to see a modern take on it. The closest was actually the red iPhone 7, they have made them much brighter and more orange since then.
