You can't even edit your own tweet ? must be a bunch of old relic's working. Least of your gonna live in the 21st century, you should act like it. Its not like a site dedicated to the stone age here.

No you can't and it makes me pissed whenever I need to delete one tweet and tweet again because of the replies I have under the tweet I'm about to delete.

:rolleyes: Of course Twitter staff can write the code to implement an edit function. The issue, from what I gather, is philosophical: What if a tweet is edited to radically change its content after others have replied to it or retweeted it?

Something can likely be figured out in relation to that, like notice that the post has been edited (perhaps even with a history of edits), and any retweets retaining the tweet as it was when it was retweeted. Facebook, for example, seems to have capacity to deal with edits, so there are certainly ways to deal with it all if desired.
