What is this all about?

To me it seems that Twitter is trying to make its app easier for new users to understand. For those of us that have been on Twitter it's obvious what a retweet is and why a picture that represents recycling makes sense there, but for new users (those especially comfortable with Facebook) the have no idea what a retweet is so a share icon is much more appropriate and familiar to them.
