The store will reopen in the fall, according to a notice on Apple's website spotted by MacRumors reader Kate. No specific date was provided, but Apple will likely aim to resume business ahead of iPhone 18 Pro launch day in September.

In the meantime, Apple will be opening a temporary store elsewhere at Victoria Gardens, in a unit that was most recently occupied by activewear retailer Athleta. The address for the temporary store is 12501 N Mainstreet, Suite 3610.

Apple Victoria Gardens first opened in September 2004.

Apple Chermside outside of Brisbane, Australia will also be temporarily closed starting Wednesday, April 29, with Apple inviting customers to visit nearby stores in the meantime. Apple has not provided a specific reason for this store's closure, but it is likely another renovation project. The location first opened in November 2009.

Not having worked there since 2014, delayed openings and mid-week closings aren't terribly uncommon. It's not always a team meeting, sometimes it's as simple as "they were having the stone floor buffed and cleaned" or "we had to replace all the display tables."

So are they usually retrofits that they do overnight and closed times that contribute to the delayed opening times?

Yeah it's very rare that it impacts regular business hours, but it certainly does happen. There are maintenances or store reconfigurations that can take additional time, or they depend on vendors who won't work overnight (or otherwise are too costly to get after hours).

Closed for quite a long time. Definitely the first day of reopening will be either the day iPhone 18 series launch or a week before that. Not sure whether much will change inside.

Correct. Like installing video walls on older stores, removing or changing arrangements to tables and other fixtures.

Past releases of certain products the Apple stores close to give time for employees to make changes like the night of the panther OS X release then reopen in the evening

So that’s why I couldn’t select the MacBook Neo for pickup here.
Yes, you’re referring to the Rancho Cucamonga CA or the Chermside, Australia store, right? Chermside doesn’t have a temporary store, so you’ll need to travel to Brisbane, a few cities away. If you’re looking for Victoria Gardens, you can check the brea store or wait for the temporary one to open .

Chermside is a 10 min drive from Brisbane City centre (where there is another store)
