Now, Tim Cook needs to get those mythical products in his pipeline out there to fill those stores, instead of third party stuff... decent, affordable, reliable, laptops, headless macs, imacs, routers, screens, non-botched mouse, all with updated latest innovative improvements to software and hardware.

What an eye-sore that is...I wouldn't even wanna shop.. "What am I here for again?"
I thought it was a waterfall of some-sort. but i had to take a second look

Why does a subscription service company need stores? Do Hulu and Netflix have retail stores?

Good for Singapore but what about Kuala Lumpur (KL) in Malaysia we are only 5 hours up the road and have zip

No decent warranties or returns etc :(

Apples warranty and polices are far better in USA/Canada/UK/Australia and few other countries

I think Thailand and few other countries only just got AC

Probably the most fancy location they could get. I'm glad they adopt local architecture... Most Apple Stores are just boring. Those Singapore stores would at least make the waiting worthwile. I usually avoid "normal" Apple Stores, mostly because the shopping experience is the worst. I mean, walking in, asking for product XY and having to wait like 10 mins for that? Even worse, if you have to wait additional time before you can actually ask someone for the product. For those only going for a straight forward OTC purchase, Apple Stores should really offer a counter for exactly that.

Meanwhile Apple builds more mall locations in the US that lack any and all unique architecture.
IMHO that's part of the concept. They want to draw the attention to the products while maintaining the clean look of the product in their store.
Singapore makes America look like a third world country in many ways.
In those ways it makes most countries look bad. However, everything comes at a cost. I recommend looking up the history of Singapore and taxation. It's a good destination for a city trip, but I wouldn't want to live there...

that is a rendering, it isnt even the real picture. anyway that area is supposed to be a common space of the shopping mall which is in the airport.

well, unlike hulu and netflix, you still need to buy apple devices to subscribe to their services. it's just tying you in deeper into their ecosystem.

so we were previously warned about discussing politics here, so i will not talk much, but you should get your facts right before making such statement.

Huh? Apart from Apple News and Arcade, that's absolutely not true.

sorry need is probably the wrong word. what i was trying to say is that they have tightly integrated their services and hardware so that they kind of value add each other. You get a much better user experience if you have a apple device and your device feels more valuable because of the extra services that apple has over other OEMs.
