Het guys i have two black lines going now the iPhone screen from top to bottom. I bought it from Verizon about 3 weeks ago. Will they replace it since it has a defect?

Your best bet is to take it to an Apple Store.

Wireless carriers make you run through a lot of hoops before you get a replacement.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A5274d Safari/7534.48.3)

Verizon should replace it easily, very easily considering your problem. If the apple store is closer, I would still go to them.

heres the problem when i got the iPhone i received it and the speaker was broken so i traded it in. so u still think they wil fix it?

Verizon's return policy is 14 days, you can try it, but you said it has been 3 weeks already..so I would say make an appointment with Apple. They will check it out and see if there has been any damage and whatnot. If all checks out well, they should replace it.

I'd go through as many replacements as you can until you get the best working one. When I first got an iPhone, I got it at Best buy, the first one the 3G connection would randomly stop working, but everyone else around me was working fine, got it switched, after checking it out, the volume rocker was messed up and one tap on the bottom volume rocker would get stuck and would put it all the way down to nothing. Got a 3rd replacement. That one was perfect. :D

Bought an iPhone 4 and worked perfect ever since. Only complaints is the home button being strange at times, and also the back glass now "clicks" when you touch it. Been meaning to head over to Apple to get it repaired or replaced. I'm out of warranty so I might have to buy a new backing.

They've replaced products multiple times for much lesser problems than that. (see the iPad section for who I call the light bleeders, they HATE light)

Tell me about it..

My iPhone 4 had a defected sim tray when I got it, thought I'd do good by calling up the carrier (Tesco Mobile) same day to arrange what I thought would be a simple fault return...how wrong was I... two days to get the jiffy bag, which was acceptable...but then the process they take when receiving handsets back was a joke... it took nearly 4 weeks! and lots of chasing from me to get the muppets to check the fault, verify and order me a new handset! Lesson learnt.

which place should i go to first? and will i get a replacement because its clearly defective

If the defect is obvious, it really doesn't matter where you go. I suggest going to the Apple store. They are the easiest to deal with. :)

Yep, Apple will replace it. Only downside is they give you a refurbished phone. Looks new on the outside, but it's not on the inside. I had FOUR in a row with issues. Apple finally mailed me a NEW one.
