Can I use a 1 GB stick from The Memory Store and a 2 GB stick from OWC? I bought the 1 GB stick a couple months back (april-may). I'm assuming I can, I just don't want to spend $65 on a 2GB stick that I can't use. Thanks in advance!

I just found this RAM at Frys, is it compatible? If so, it's an amazing deal: http://shop3.outpost.com/product/5448239

1. Mixing RAM sticks from different manufacturers is no problem, as long as each one works, and obviously as long as your computer supports the combination. The MacRumors memory guide should help.

2. Since there are so many different types of memory, I only buy from a place that lets me order memory specifically for my computer. You may, at your own risk, check out which memory for example www.crucial.com sells for the exact computer that you have, then compare the specification with the one on the webpage you found. You can also decide how much the risk of getting it wrong is worth to you.
