Hello all, I've replaced the dvd on my macbook4.1 with a bay and added my old disk there (WD Scorpio Black) and an SSD on the HD compartment.

The disk was old, but I really was surprised to see that it died in a week! I bought a used ssd on eBay and replaced it. And guess what? After a week it died too! It might be a coincidence, or there might be something wrong!

I'd really need your help and advice on this! Yes trim is enabled and the laptop is always on a stand so no moving or hits.
    Thank you all in advance!

could it be related to the fact that the device in the bay works continuously? Can I regulate that?

It could just be a coincidence.
What SSD model did you put into the Optibay?

PS: I have a similar setup and it runs still fine after a year or so of usage.
