I updated to ios15.2 and now my hearing aids and ekg monitor will not pair to bluetooth. I think it because of two factor authentication. How can I turn this off?

The Upside Down
Two factor authentication has nothing to do with pairing your bluetooth devices. Have you tried resetting your iPhone and trying again? Alternatively, you can "forget" those devices from your iPhone (if previously paired) and try re-pairing them again.

I have tried forgetting the devices and deleting the apps and restarting the apps. The same difficulty happened when I upgraded my iPad from 15.1 to 15.2. The devices work as they should on my wife’s old iPhone so I know that the problem is not with the devices. If I reset the iPhone, will I lose any data from my other apps? Thanks for your help?

If you reset the phone but DON'T use the "Erase and Reset," then it will only revert the settings to default without removing any personal data. With that said, the BT devices not connecting has nothing to do with TFA, just like what @nattK stated. I remember reading that Apple did change something with the BT that had to do with security in the 15.2 update. Have you tried "Forgetting" the BT device on the phone, then try repairing? Sometimes that helps.

Should do a “Reset All Settings”. If the OP does an erase that will wipe everything off the phone including the user data.

Do reset on your EkG and hearing aid. Unpair the EkG and your hearing aid from your phone. Restart your phone and try pairing those to the phone.

Try that before you do a Reset All Settings.

Did the reset on the hearing aid. The aids are supposed to reset in search mode when placed in and out of charger. I spent the afternoon with Apple support on chat and haven’t come up with anything except it’s the aids fault and to contact the manufacturer. I have used “forget device” . The aids aren’t listed under Bluetooth in settings so don’t know any way to unpair.
I haven’t tried a hard shut down and reboot on the iPhone. Thanks for your help

Thanks everyone for your help. I did the hard stop to reboot the system instead of just turning the phone off and now everything works!
Glad you fixed it but for further reference, a forced restart will correct quite a bit of minor issues like what you. Always a good idea from time to time. If I remember correctly, Apple advised me to do this back in the iOS 4 or 5 days once a week. Haha.

Daft question maybe, but what do you mean by a forced restart?

Depending on the phone model, doing the up volume, then down volume, then power hold until screen shuts off.

The old phones used to be the home button and power to achieve the same thing. What this does is essentially a cold restart, whereas using the "slide to power off." If I remember at the time, I was advised on an old ipod as a way to clean out the memory and whatnot. Also supposedly helps if one has a minor battery drain that is not a major bug, but a runaway.
