I did a comparison between 2 mbp 13 2020 10th generation base, same specs, and one doubt I had became clear.
Do your fans make the same sound? On my laptop the right fan would be more high pitched with a slightly buzzing sound. The left sounds just like a fan, very pleasant comparing to other laptops, I have to say. And sound exactly the same as the 2 fans on the other laptop I tried.
Should I have to contact support? Does Apple cover issues like this without Apple Care?

*you can check the fans separately just by doing an hardware test which would spin one at a time.

The right fan spins faster than the left fan so the right fan does have a slightly different tone than the left fan. It's very slight and to my ears it does have a bit of buzz to it. With that said it shouldn't really be noticed unless your ears are directly against the chassis. I have owned three of the 2020 13" MBPs. The first was an i5 and the fans were as I described above. I decided I wanted the i7 so I did an exchange at the Apple Store. The first i7 had a noticeably louder right fan that did have an annoying buzz sound. I exchanged that i7 for a second i7 which did not have any fan issues. So it is possible that you do have a right fan that has an issue or maybe it's just variance in fan noise due to different suppliers.

Yes, on my 2020 MacBook Pro 10th Gen. one fan will spin at a higher RPM than the other. It's actually a smart feature and shows that they operate independently of one another. I'm guessing its because the fan on the left hand side is closer to higher temperature components

Yeah, but the buzz it is noticeable in an annoying way, unless I wouldn't be here. So I think this is similar to your second case. Not something you can't live with, also because they rarely kick in and when they do it's only for short amounts of time. I would definitely swap it for another one but I'm out the 30 days window and I don't know if they cover issues like this. Thanks for the answer.

Thanks. I'm not concerned with the higher RPM. The right fan will slightly buzz even at lower RPM, from 2500 and above.

p.s. checked another 2020, same model, and no buzzing at all.

I also have some buzz sound on the right side of my mbp 13 2020 10th gen. But I am not sure that it is fan...

Hello again! My machine is MBP 13 2020 i5 10th gen 32BG 1TB

I've tried to record some videos. Excuse me for quality, sitting in the kitchen in front of the fridge ( everybody is sleeping :) ), so please rise your volume a bit.

fans speeds on the videos: 2k-3k rpm

Right fan:

Left fan first, than right fan (cleaner sound):

Right fan really has some buzzing sound.

I've tried to make a video and maybe it's my phone, but it is not very noticeable in the video. Anyway very similar issue. The right fan is buzzing on mine too. I don't know how common it is, but I've found other users with this issue surfing the internet. I would contact apple support, but I need the laptop right now and since the fans rarely kick in it's somehow tolerable. If someone can confirm Apple support covers this, I'll definitely try sooner or later.
