Two Firewire outputs?

We're thinking about getting a Sony HVR-Z5U HDV videocamera, with the MRC1 compact-flash add-on. It's my understanding that the MRC1 would utilize the camera's Firewire port. The trouble is, I also need a Firewire port to connect this camera to my laptop for when we do a live stream to our Quicktime Streaming Server. How do I get around this? Or does anyone have some better suggestions on what to get?

you could do FW -> recorder and then composite video off the cam to a DV converter that connects to your computer via FW.
