two iphone speakers, only one works

We didn't have this problem with first-gen iPhone users.

when I play music on itune, only left speaker works, is this normal or my right speaker broken down?

how did I find out:
when I cover the left speaker using my finger, the volume almost shut down which means it works find, and when I cover the right speaker using my finger, the volume does not change at all.

Would you guy try your iphone 3g speakers and let me know if I should take it back to apple store and exchange for a new one!
