I use Magic Trackpad 2 on right side of keyboard as regular pointing device.
To left of my keyboard I use notebook and a pen, as shown in the picture.
I would like to replace notebook with another Magic Trackpad 2 with stylus.

Is it possible to have two magic trackpad with a Mac?

I am not sure about having two trackpads connected at once — it may be possible — but as far as I know there are no decent styluses (if any) that would work on the Magic Trackpad.
Your best bet would be to get an iPad and Apple Pencil, which can be used as an external screen for your Mac (the ”Sidecar” feature), and there the Pencil would be supported natively.
It’s a little pricier than just getting a second trackpad but the capabilities are infinitely superior.

^ Agreed.

Plus the mouse pointer would be messed up. It is possible to connect two trackpads. It will not work well.

I love the idea of having iPad as side car, will definitely go for it. Having hand written notes, to-dos, diagrams to express ideas are indispensable to me. iPad would be great companion and add to the aesthetics of the desk 🙏
