Hi!

I was wonderng two things that are related.

1. Can the iPod Touch be seen as a hard drive in the PC's 'My Computer, so that folders can be seen and new ones created on the Touch and files dropped into the folder?

2. Is using iTunes the only way to add applications ?

My friend has an application which he found after jailbreaking. I have not done that and have upgraded to 2.0 but I would like that application ! I guess the designer has not submitted it to iTunes yet.

I have been away for a week so will start to read all the threads that I missed but any advice is much appreciated.

No, the iPod touch cannot be used as a hard drive unlike other iPods.

It's not as easy as simply submitting the app to Apple to be added to the iTunes store, you have to purchase, download and register the SDK (Software Developer's Kit) to make 'official' apps. And yes, the only way to add applications without jailbreaking is through iTunes.
