  1. Are the quoted monthly charges (e.g., $36.58 for the 16 GB Plus) really the final amount? The fine print says there are "applicable taxes and fees," so I'm wondering if the monthly amount will actually be more. Yes, it's 0% APR, but with a 0% APR auto loan, for example, you still pay fees to borrow the money.
  2. People who sign up now are locked into the S upgrade cycle unless they're willing to wait more than 12 months to upgrade, right? And do they even have the option of waiting until the iPhone 8 is released to upgrade, or do they have to make a decision within a certain time after the 12 months are up?
Maybe the answers are in the fine print or elsewhere.

1. Yes, it will be more. My bill is $80 service, $75 devices and $9 taxes and fees.

2. Yes, if you sign up for a 2 year plan since Apple has been alternating yearly between number and S upgrades. Note, some carriers and Apple now have a monthly device plan where you can get the latest iPhone every year. Best for people who always want the latest device.
