Can I use Apple TV with two remote controls? (The black and the new) Thanks!

With the new remote there is no problem, but with the old one it does not work.

Support.apple.com:

Reconnect the Siri Remote to Apple TV
The Siri Remote comes bundled with Apple TV. If it becomes disconnected or you purchase a replacement remote, you will need to manually pair it with the Apple TV.

The Siri Remote can only be paired with one Apple TV at a time. When a remote control is linked, the link of the other remote control is automatically canceled.

Is it just the 4K and the new Apple TV remotes that won’t let you pair more than one. I have a 4K remote and the older silver Apple TV remote that both work on the same Apple TV.

Correct you can’t have two Siri Remotes at the same time. Older Apple and third party remotes work fine. Hope they might open this up at WWDC this year.

I did test and the 1st gen Siri remote works fine on the 2021 AppleTV 4K.
