The Siri Remote comes bundled with Apple TV. If it becomes disconnected or you purchase a replacement remote, you will need to manually pair it with the Apple TV.

The Siri Remote can only be paired with one Apple TV at a time. When a remote control is linked, the link of the other remote control is automatically canceled.

I’ve been wanting to pair more than 1 remote for years now. Whenever my wife and I watch TV we both want the remote 😀

But you can’t. Only 1 at any given time.

Correct you can’t have two Siri Remotes at the same time. Older Apple and third party remotes work fine. Hope they might open this up at WWDC this year.

I did test and the 1st gen Siri remote works fine on the 2021 AppleTV 4K.

Yeah, the Siri remotes. We both use Siri for most of our navigation.
