two-step verification for Apple ID

hey all
I set up two-step verification for Apple ID for the first time today on my MBA and have my MBA and iPhone as the trusted devices. Once I had set it up on my MBA. I starting getting requests on my MBA for password for FaceTime, iMessage, iCloud etc. I got the same on my iPhone. Is this normal requests?
