i just got a new 2010 mbp and i have a couple questions.

1. is it safe to transport the mbp while it is sleeping without risking hard drive damage, or should i completely shut down the computer.

2. i recently purchased this monitor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001335

as far as the cables go that i need to connect my mbp to it what would i need?

would a mini display port to dvi and then a dvi to hdmi work?

thanks!

I think it is safe to transport, while it is sleeping. I've sone so, many hundreds of times, with no apparent issues.

Yeah its safe ta transport it while its sleeping. The hard drive head parks when you put it in sleep mode. And it locks up when you move it, so nothing get damaged :D
