I don't have a Superdrive yet, so I would mostly just be burning the occassional audio CDs and data CDs. Is Toast worth that much money? Clearly people like it, I was just wondering if you could explain to a "noob" what makes Toast so great.
Thanks in advance.
You won't be missing much if you are creating occasional audio CDs or DVDs. For audio CDs, iTunes will pretty much handle that. For data DVDs, you can use Finder to burn, although you'll need 4.7GB extra HD space. Tiger may be different though. With Toast, it allows you to burn DVDs in UDF, ISO 9660, PC+Mac, and Mac Volume hybrid discs. If you don't know what these formats are for what, then Toast may be more than you need.
