Two Verizon iPhones. Trade numbers? (can't trade SIMs)

We have two iPhones. Both Verizon.
Can I switch numbers between phones?

If I restore phone A's backup to phone B. And vice versa, will that work?

I'm assuming "no."

Is there a way to switch numbers between the phones or do we need to go to Verizon?

You'll need to go to Verizon I think its linked to the IMEI so it cant be changed. Its hard coded into the phone.

Yes... I'm almost sure you can do this. I've never done it on an iPhone before, but when my old phones broke, I'd pull out another one and activate it online. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do this! There must be a way.

Of course you can...

Either call Verizon Customer Service, do it with your online account, or OTA by dialing *228. It's a simple matter of swapping the ESN's for each phone.
