Two versions of VLC on Catalina

When I attempt to open a video file with VLC, the system says that I have two versions, 3.0.9 and 2.2.8.

I would like to delete the old version, 2.2.8, but it seems to be hidden. Any ideal on where I can locate it please?

Open something with the old version, then right-click its Dock icon and go to Options/Show in Finder.

Thanks, it was hidden in the Library folder.
