What programs are there for Mac OS X to replace these programs.

It uses Pinnacle Studio on Windows.

Also, is theer any way to partition my external hardrive(currently in Mac OSX Journaled format) so I can install windows on it. Or can I install windows on this fornat?

Which Mac?

You won't be able to use the DVC150 in Parallels or I would have suggested that for your first problem...

I have the mini core solo 1.5 ghz and waiting until Christmas for the Mid-Rage Macbook (whatever it is by then, hope fully C2D or at least upped hd or ram sspecs)

You could try CrossOver for Mac...

It's still in beta, but it works great for me.
