I am looking for a suggestion on a 24"-27" Type-C monitor. I am trying to stay under $300. This monitor is only for office work, movies and the occasional home/family video edit; No gaming.

Thanks.

Type-C seem a bit out of your price range, but 1080 and 4k HDMI monitors are clearly in your range. A Type-C to HDMI adapter works well. I run 2 32" 1080 monitors at work this way.

Forget "type c" (whatever that's supposed to mean).
There are very few displays available.

Just get a display that has "the standard connections", such as:
- displayport
- HDMI
- DVI
...etc.

Then get the appropriate "USBc to xxxx" cable, depending on what you need.

This will give you many MANY more choices in picking a display.

Thanks for the thoughts. I liked the idea of the single cable system, using the monitor as the usb hub. But the budget is limited.
