People, since the induction of the iPhone, have always been saying that typing on a touchscreen is far less superior then typing on a physical keyboard. These claims were even more see in iPad vs Computer arguments. I resent these claims, and wrote an app that supports both iPhone and iPad (at native resolutions) to prove it. TypeTimer, (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/typetimer/id458350289?ls=1&mt=8) tells you how fast you type on a touchscreen. You simply type some text in the space provided, then when you click done it tells you some info about your typing including the speed. Whats more, the app contains Game Center capabilities, so you can compare how fast you type against others, and compare achievements. The canadian iPhone news site, iPhone in Canada, wrote a review of this app. You may read the review here: http://www.iphoneincanada.ca/app-store/how-fast-can-you-type-with-typetimer-for-iphone/ . TypeTimer is available worldwide for $0.99/0.79/£0.59/ (Price varies per region). You may download it here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/typetimer/id458350289?ls=1&mt=8 .
