Typical iMac vs Mac Pro Conundrum

It seems that a mini and iMac are about the same cost for me (new mini and keep my monitor, or iMac and sell my monitor).

Advantage iMac: faster CPU and drives, better graphics card

Advantage mini: most of the speed of the iMac and keep my monitor.

Anything else?
 
Buy a refurb MBP, you'll be able to use the monitor without the higher cost a Mac Pro. Additionally you'll have portability as a bonus. :cool:
