Im curious to know how many of you can type faster in the iPhone then on the iPad. I know, personally for me, I can type faster on the iPhone then on my iPad if they are both in portrait. Obviously if the iPad is in landscape then I can type better on that, but I'm curious to hear from someone coming from an android device that had a physical keyboard, and which do you type faster on: the iPad or iPhone.

Can type quicker on the phone I think, its smaller. I never seem to type with the iPad in landscape mode anyway, always portrait; just hold it between my 2 hands.

Swype on my Transformer = Beast mode, can never be beat. But I can type pretty effin fast with the iOS built in thumb keyboard. I guess I'm the opposite where I tend to make more mistakes on an iPhone then tablet/iPad or my Samsung Galaxy Note (the Note has Swype also).

You not use the built in thumb keyboard? That should take care of the landscape problem.

iPhone has always been easier for me. although the split keyboard on the iPad helped speed up the typing on it for me.

The iPhone just simply because I've been using it for nearly 5 years. I'm a very good two thumbs typer.

I would say that in the two years of using the iPad I have gotten better, but my tendency to rest my fingers on the home keys always leads to mistakes when typing in landscape.

I don't know about fast, but I definitely make more mistakes on the iPhone because the keys are so much more smaller. My preferred way of typing is landscape on the iPad -- I can almost touch type, like on a physical keyboard.

Typing on landscape on my iPad I'm a ton faster than on my iPhone. It's almost like typing on an actual keyboard. If I have to resort to split keyboard in portrait mode (or worse, landscape mode) I'm quite a bit slower on my iPad.
