Anyway, on topic, Spotify is huge in the UK and regardless of Apple's iTunes Radio, smaller companies offering pretty much the same as Spotify won't last long.
 
With over 1 million registered users, I guess none of them were paying anything or their business model was total crap.
 
I'd say if it had become public knowledge that the financing came exclusively from war-mongering Russia, Bloom.fm would have been dead anyway. Maybe pressure was put on Apple not to run iAds that are paid for with Russian money, until the Ukraine is free again.

Warmongering Russia...? Hmmm... *cough* Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria *cough* Let's not make this a political thread...

I think it's going to start becoming harmful to your reputation if it keeps happening and I'm sure none of us would want that.
 
Like it or not this IS a politically motivated decision as Russian individuals and friends of Putin are being subjected to sanctions by EU and US as a consequence of the Ukraine crisis.

There WILL be many divestitures of this kind in the coming months
