Here I am all worried that my watch hasn’t shipped yet. But I live in Ohio and if it’s shipping from Indiana I guess that makes sense.
There likely won't be any movement on the Watches until Wednesday or Thursday of next week. They are all probably already in the U.S. and just being held at distribution centers.
I was given a delivery date 10/8-10/15… right after the site came back after the keynote…. what do you think the chances of an early delivery?
Yeah at least the commonly ordered models will have a lot of stock here in the States already - and some amount of stock for the less often bought versions as well. So anyone with a 9/20 date should get theirs sent with a 2 day express shipment next week.
Yeah and also there's endless amounts of watch+wristband combos, so they gotta get all that in order, package it up and put a shipping label with our names on it - and they probably finished that today so they can get started on the iPhone pre-orders that went live today.
Apple usually gives either accurate or slightly pessimistic estimates. I'd expect it at the very least on the 7th but we don't know yet how well these sold in the pre-orders. Often they don't actually sell them out and then within a few days shipping estimates are corrected and suddenly everything's available again. I'd just wait a week and see if it updates the status.
I'd have to go back and look but I think it's going to sit still for a bit and then start moving a few days before delivery.
I forgot to add the Apple Watch Ultra 2 to the title. But folks can post here if they wish. I wonder if the mods can change the title and make this thread sticky.
That's exactly what I said earlier. I don't expect to see movement in tracking until probably Wednesday next week, since they're already stateside.
What I am noticing and I could be wrong but it seems more people are buying the watch this year, with dates for many of the models backed up till October, yet for the iPhones I had taken a look about an hour ago and it did not seem that anyone was saying that the phone was not going to be available on the 20th. In many of the past years by this time of the day on the first day of ordering people would be reporting that they could not get what they wanted right away and delivery was not for several weeks.
I had pre-ordered the 46mm Jet Black aluminum from Apple using my Series 9 as a trade. Apple gave $170 for the trade. Then I get an email from Best Buy tonight saying they would give me $330 for my Series 9. So I promptly cancelled my pre-order with Apple for the Watch Series 10 and pre-ordered with Best Buy. That's too much trade in credit to pass up for the Series 9. I'll pick it up this Friday from my local Best Buy.
Got this bad boy today but my delivery date isn’t until Oct 21 - 28 😓
Credit card just got charged for the new watches! But because I split the orders for my and my wife's watch separately, as well as separate orders for additional bands, the bank blocked the card and the transactions for being suspicious and I had to ask them to unblock the card. Orders are now on hold with Apple with "Waiting for payment".
But Update Payment Method on the orders fail with "Something went wrong".
FML!!!
Update: Apple Support was surprisingly good. Called them, sorted out and re-charged in 4 minutes. Preparing for Shipment now!! 👍😍

I'm going from Hermes AW series 8 to a series 10 Gold Titanium (42) with gold ML. I want the gold link band but it's not available so I will rock the ML until the gold link bracelet is available. I didn't order until Tuesday and was still able to get the 9/20 date. My watch is still in progress but my phone is already in PTS (also 9/20). I'm assuming the watches are already stateside (some models at least).
I was planning on going from the Ultra 2 I now have to the AW10, but then I saw that Best Buy was offering $50 off for Total Tech members (which I am) and I had a $20 gift card.
Plus AW10 must be shipped to house on preorders but Ultra 2 can be picked up in store. Shipping is FedEx ground with NO signature required. Insane.
So, wanted the darker color Ultra plus a true black band. So, ordered 'new' Ultra 2 for in store pickup.

I have something coming from China that weighs just under 1 pound....not sure if it's my phone or watch. The phone says PTS and watch still says in progress. The package arrives on 9/20 and it's from AI. According to folks this must be the watch (judging from weight) which still says In Progress whereas my phone says PTS.
