It seems youtube will be live streaming the u2 concert at the Rose Bowl this evening.

I see on my Apple TV the U2 concert in Sept at Giants stadium on the YouTube setting, was this live or added after the fact?

As anything ever been steamed live on Apple TV on YouTube?

Well I know that's the browser URL. I'm referring to the youtube URL for the stream.

If you go to this link at 8:30pm (pacific) this will be the stream.

What other url would you need? unless you're refering to Apple TV in which case I hope its on the main page.

I'm talking about a youtube url like this one

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJ0faju6j-I&feature=channel

The "watch?" part is very important.

But I'm guessing since the falling out between Google and Apple there won't be a link on the Apple TV.

Ireland.
When they held the "youtube live" event last year, it used an external livestream service I believe/remember. This was iframed onto the channel page @ http://www.youtube.com/user/Live

Basically if they do the same thing with this, it won't be accessible.

Only other event I know they live streamed was some President Obama thing i think.

Yes, we can ;-)

Hi all,

I just tried it both with Couchsurfer and Firefox - it works !

I called up the U2 channel, and the video plays fine - HD stutters, though.

You need to have the CoreAudioKit.framework on your ATV as well, otherwise it will not work.

The Apple TV can be a real frustrating POS sometimes. Why wouldn't YouTube streaming be enabled?

Oh well, checked out a bit of the stream on my laptop, but would much rather watch on my home theater. Sayonara U2 & YouTube.

If you have a new Mac with mini-display port just hook it up to your HD tv using the mini to hdmi/optical audio and put it in fullscreen mode.

There's your concert ;)
