Has anyone tried or seen this case in person ? If so what is your opinion ? Thanks

I’m hoping it has a similar texture to the magpul cases..

A few thoughts:
  • It’s noticeably thinner than the new Monarch for the Pro Max. The overall footprint feels somewhat like the Otterbox Symmetry or perhaps the Speck Presidio.
  • The texture is similar to the smooth corners and edges on other UAG cases. Not grippy, but not overly slick. Some may find it too slick though.
  • The orange material is softer than the normal UAG black rubber material, which I’m guessing provides more protection in a thinner profile.
  • The area around the charge port is more robust and less droopy than on the Monarch.
  • The buttons are more raised and easier to find than the buttons on the Monarch, which for me are a little too flat. They’re equally clicky and easy to press like on other UAG cases.
  • It works with the Rhinoshield edge-to-edge tempered glass screen protector (shown in the pics).
  • Overall it’s a nice case with the same high level of fit and finish as other UAG cases. I’ll be keeping it as a thinner, more pocket-friendly alternative to the Monarch.

Nice, is the inside a soft rubber material or hard like the Monarch & Pathfinder cases?

The orange rubber is slightly softer, so the corners and about half of the inside back. The black areas inside seem the same as other UAG cases. There’s only a subtle difference in hardness and texture between the orange and black materials.

Nice, how is the area around the volume buttons , is it weak or also robust like the bottom area ? And does the finish on the back scratch or show finger prints ? Last is it a nice tight fit ?
Thanks

The area around the buttons on both sides is more robust than on the Monarch. The back and edge material is similar to the black edge/corner material on other UAG cases, so pretty much scratch and fingerprint resistant. The fit is nice and tight without being overly tight; I’d say a bit tighter than the Monarch for comparison.

Sound similar to the pathfinder which i found too slippery, don't get the orange, i couldn't cop that for me anyway.
Yeah, the orange is a little quirky, but at least for now I kind of like it (we’ll see if that lasts). I do really like the feel in the hand.

Do you prefer the Civilian to the Monarch? I really like the build quality of my Monarch but it’s a bit too bulky.
The build quality is the same, though the buttons and the area around the charge port on the Civilian are better designed. The Monarch feels more secure in the hand due to the pattern on the edge and the various raised parts that make it easier to grip. The Civilian is smoother, so it’s more slick in the hand, but at least for me, not to the point of being an issue. I like it a lot.
