I ordered an Uber taxi last night by mistake. I was waiting at a bus stop after a pint with my mate and I looked at the Uber app out of curiosity. Covered the watch to put it to sleep (what's the word/phrase for doing that?) and thought no more about it. Five minutes later my watch buzzes and there's a taxi pulling up! It took it home and it was only double the bus fare so it all worked out ok, but I'll be more careful in future.

Uber only came to my city last month. I was happy to get free chocolate from the driver. I tipped with cash. Do most people tip Uber taxis?

I use Uber all the time... and never tip. A HUGE part of the reason why I'm using Uber in the first place is because I don't want the hassle of dealing with any sort of "payment" and I never carry cash.

I do, nearly always, give out perfect ratings though... as most of my Uber rides are top notch.

Its not a shame at all. Uber is a corporate that kills taxi agencies worldwide with a people who are not trained in passenger transportation. The money the drivers make would be way below minimum wage. Therefore they have to be self employed and that will kill their old age pension.

A friend of mine drives Uber. From what he has explained, the pay varies greatly with demand, but he does better than minimum wage overall - sometimes much better.

Uber is great, it's not in my city but I used Black and SUV a couple of times.
There I no way I am going in public transport again if I am in a Uber city.

So the watch did you a favor :)

The costumer service is great also.
One time I took a Suv to the Airport and a couple of hours a Black back.

The black was more expensive than the Suv because the driver was taking a detour for no reason.
I had Google Maps open and he first gone the wrong way before getting to my apartment. For no reason, there was no road work or something.

So I give the dude a 1star review. In less than 24 hours uber contacted me, they changed the price, I get apologizes and a €25,- credit for the furure. Just great!

Love the service.
