you don't make anywhere near the advertised rates. At one point Uber and Lyft were advertising up to $35 per hour. Not even close, plus take out the cost of fuel and you are left with very little to speak of.

A lot of us are doing this as a second or third job to pay for necessities (food, child care...etc) I work a 50 hour a week job and drive Uber on top of that so my kids can eat. Your statement is beyond misinformed and is down right offensive.

Uber is a job for people who don't want to apply themselves. I don't feel sorry for the drivers at all. However, I do hate that Uber takes too much commission from them.
