Ubuntu 18.04 on MacBook 2008

Hi, I'm trying to install Ubuntu 18.04 on my black MacBook 2008. I have successfully, followed the instruction in the guide provided in Ubuntu.com.

When the Macbook tries to boot from the usb drive, it says that "Error, Boot file not found"

Does anyone know what is the issue? or I should install it with the older version of Ubuntu 16.04?

Either use this, or just install it in CSM mode. When you boot from the option chooser, CMS will always say "Windows".
I've never had a problem installing other OSes on intel macs, theyre just PCs with apple logos really. Apples 2008 and older EFI is flaky, so CSM will probably work better anyways.

I have since tried to install using a USB made with another software, unetbootin.

It’s working now🙂
