UDF? Read/Write access for both OSX/Windows?

I've decided I'm going to be switching to a Mac within the next 2 months.

I'm still going to be using Windows via BootCamp a lot. I want to have a partition that has read/write access for both windows and OSX.

I know what your thinking format it to FAT32. I occasionally deal with files larger than 4GB. So FAT32 would not be ideal. And I don't trust 3rd party drivers like MacDrive or PARAGON.

I just discovered that Vista and Windows 7 can format partitions to UDF via the Command Prompt.

How will OSX handle UDF harddrives and partitions?

Apparently so. Personally, I've installed MacFUSE and NTFS-3G, which gives my Mac read/write support for NTFS partitions. I also use MacDrive on my Windows XP Boot Camp install. I don't know why you mistrust third-party drivers, as they haven't given me any trouble. In any case, you should always have an up-to-date backup, so even if a partition ends up getting corrupted by the drivers, it's only a minor inconvenience.
