UDID reg need for 3.0 GM?

so is it confirmed that in the GM build anybody that gets their hands on a copy can upgrade w/o any checks and we can run it normally as we would next friday?
 
I downloaded the 3.0 off a torrent site an hour after the keynote, it works fine (Im not a paid dev)
