Well, i recently installed ContentBarrier X4 on this computer, it installed, worked fine, no errors, untill one point... I decied to make a hidden admin account and to do that, i had to go into SUM mode and type in some stuff, restarted. Everything worked well UNTILL i came across simutanious crashes, and this error in console:

    ContentBarrier X4 Daemon crashed
    my name [= crashdump[1720]: crash report written to: /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/ContentBarrier X4 Daemon.crash.log

and i get that error about every 3 seconds in console... I can still open content barrier, but it just doesnt do its cause (filters websites, etc).

    Can someone please help me?

    Thanks!

    A hidden admin account?

Why were you in Single User Mode?

What did you type into terminal?

i typed nothing in terminal.. all in sum... this is what i typed.... I also have realized that my system has slowed down. I have used multiple cleaning apps (applejack, main menu, and cocktail) and they did nothing.

    Code:
    fsck -y
    mount -uaw /

    sh /etc/rc
     nicl . -create /users/"server"
     nicl . -create /users/"server" uid 0
     nicl . -create /users/"server" gid 20
     nicl . -create /users/"server" home "/dev/null"
     nicl . -create /users/"server" shell "/bin/bash"
nicl . -create /users/"server" passwd "servpass"
     nicl . -create /users/"server" _writers_passwd "server"
     nicl . -create /users/"server" expire 0
nicl . -create /users/"server" name "server"
     nicl . -create /users/"server" realname ""
     nicl . -create /users/"server" change 0
     nicl . -create /users/"server" class ""
nicl . -append /groups/admin users "server"
nicl . -append /groups/wheel users "server"
     nicl . -create /users/"server" naprivs -2147483394
defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow HiddenUsersList -array-add "server"
    reboot

ive used 2 computers to create hidden admins on.. one without contentbarrier was fine, the one (this one) was the one that had problems...

sorry i dont know if this will help but you could always reinstall the os to get everything back as a LAST resort.

if someone has better ideas then yea that would be sweet

have you tried removing content barrier?

well, ive went into content barriers .bundle file and removed the dameon, that seamed to work and stopped the crashes, but system performance is still pretty slow....if i remove content barrier fully, i need some type of content filtering application other than contentbarrier then,a filtering application that doesnt slow down the system... Any ideas?

    Start here: http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/family/

You could always invest in a router with parental controls too...
