How do I find out about updates installed in my system?

What update are your referring to, Apple always published information about them which you can find at:

http://support.apple.com/downloads/

If you have Snow Leopard 10.6.x forward installed on your computer you use the Mac App store (probably) for installing updates, accept all that are recommenced and if you want additional information look for information on the Mac Apple Store prior to downloading.

I'm not at a Mac at present so can't give the exact wording, but go to System Preferences > Software Update and there should be a tab showing all of the updates that you've installed, in installation order.

Edit: It seems that this feature has been removed from 10.8.

Appreciate the replies. It is something I should have remembered but forgot simply because of the time between updates requiring me to boot this Mac; it is never off - only asleep. That little notification dialog that popped in the upper right corner of my screen likes to stay hidden after its used :p
