iOS UIActivityIndicatorView while action loading

In my app I use sharekit. I use it to embed an attachment from the web to an email. The view is setup with a webview that pulls in a PDF. I use an ibaction to download the PDF and initiate the sharekit action sheet so the user can email the attachment in app. My problem is that this takes some time so I want to add an activity indicator to let the user know the app is working. How could I do this. All I have done with activity indicator in past is when a webview is loading.
