UK Apple Music on Echo devices.........

Very frustrating indeed. But we're still waiting for English Siri on non-UK/US Apple TVs, nearly 3.5 years later. And Apple News. So there's precedent for this stuff not happening at all.

Given Amazon’s past record, “in the coming weeks” may not be the same as most people’s idea of “soon”.
 
Woohoo about time, though doesn’t seem to play own music uploaded to the cloud or shared playlists from family.
The Alexa app mentions it should play content iCloud Music Library so should work, will have to have a little play.

Yep I’ve just enabled the Alexa skill and it’s picking up my Apple Music and my Apple playlists beautifully. Such a relief as I have two HomePods and seven Alexa devices in my home so now I have music in every room
