Just a quick post to say that the UK Apple Refurb store has had a big drop of M3 machines.

So if you want one at a great discount, tuck in.

Edit: Making a “big thing” of this as we don’t get as much inventory as the US do

Edit 2: There are custom builds and also lots of M2 as well.

same i noticed it in aus store, mostly more storage configs and ram configs over the base that they had for many months (m3 max in particular)

issue is after seeing m4 benchmarks now im kinda holding off (again) dont really need it urgently but was hoping to buy after tax FY (1 July 2024)++

Fair enough, but refurbs of any M4 MBP (which haven't even been announced yet) won't appear until 5-6 months after launch.

yea that's fine... i am planning to keep it very long term [i don't resell my tech at all, too much pain/trouble dealing with second hand buyers who are complaining about price].

Ideally would want 64GB/2TB [any storage tier more is overkill and extra] but I can manage 48GB/1TB also.

Unfortunately not all countries even have a refurb store, probably too little sales in smaller countries to make worthwhile for the logistics.

I just bought a M3 Pro 12/18 36Gb 1Tb from the Apple UK refurb store. It looks and feels like a brand new machine and I'm loving it. I highly recommend trying Apple refurb if you haven't considered it before.
You can't lose really.

I've been deliberating getting an iMac for my father (who only needs the most basic of machines, but I want to future proof it for as many OS updates as I can) and have been waiting for the M3 iMacs to appear, hoping they might push the price of the M1s down, but alas.
