would it be possible to purchase the iphone 4 on the 26th or later by just walking in store?
 
Well it will be possible to buy in an Apple Store later. No one knows if they will have stock on 26th June, unlikely unless they get more in after 24th June. 24th and 25th will be the best days as 25th will have the uncollected reservations.
