I just love pre-keynote madness when all these newbies come on our boards and get us all riled up.
It's a forum equivalent of a food fight perhaps. Can anyone tell me - the AT&T memo - conclusively proved a fake? Anyone know if anyone's actually verified if AT&T store staff have any time slots that is *conclusively* shown to not be allowed to be taken as holiday leave?
how about everyone just waits intill Monday.
The att store I went to this afternoon said they MUST be at work the week of June 9th - June 15th. No time off would be granted.
I left macforums after four years last summer right before WWDC, and came here trying to avoid just that. Seems to have been quite the failure. However it turns out, someone will be disappointed.I just love pre-keynote madness when all these newbies come on our boards and get us all riled up.![]()
I have just spoken to a friend that works in my local fruit based shop and he informs me that they have just taken delivery of 5 3ft x 3ft boxes each labelled 200 units........work it out!
I think it starts 6pm UK time not 7pm.
You mean the week of June 8th - 14th... week starts on Sunday, not Monday.
Have had an update from the source, the boxes don't contain iphones I'm afraid, however apparently they contain something 'MUCH more intersting' according to him. Apparently they have been told any leaks will result in a P45! (this means you're fired - for the benefit of our American friends)

Remember last year when AT&T asked employees to schedule vacations around the iPhone launch? Well it seems the wireless carrier is asking the same this summer. The internal email asks employees that no vacation be taken from June 15 to July 12 to “ensure adequate store staffing and to give everyone an equal opportunity to benefit from an exciting product launch.”

Vacation Schedules
To: All Employees
Last year at this time we asked that all vacations be scheduled before June 15 or after July 15, to ensure adequate store staffing and to give everyone an equal opportunity to benefit from an exciting product launch. Thanks to your hard work, we experienced excellent sales during the mid-summer period. This year, the numbers you produced in 2007 will be hard to beat; but as a business, we must rise to the challenge, and make every effort to exceed last year’s sales results. Your management team is counting on you!
We’ll meet the challenge “head-on” by providing an exciting Summer Promotional Launch to enable your sales to soar. We again anticipate heavier than normal customer traffic in our stores, providing an excellent earning opportunity for every front line retail sales consultant (RSC) in company owned retail stores.
To ensure proper staffing during this period, Sales personnel planning to take approved time off are encouraged to schedule their vacations before June 15 or after July 12 to participate in the heavy selling period
Previously approved vacation will be allowed where voluntary rescheduling is not feasible
No additional vacation will be approved for 6/15 – 7/12
If customer traffic is manageable, there may be an opportunity to approve vacation toward the end of the period. Managers will communicate updates as they become available.
Just google it...

I don't think that AT&T stores are open on Sundays.
