Yeah, same problems in Rhyl store. they tried to tell me that the tills werent geared up for the discount. At first they tried to send me to different store. then the manager said they could do it at full price then issue a refund for the different.

I took issue with them over the fact they wanted my name and address so they could issue the refund. I was paying cash and thought this was a breach of my privacy. The manager told me he wouldnt sell them to me without my name and address so i got the number for the complaints dept and promptly rang them up from just outside the store. Within 5 mins i was asked to call back in the store where the manager appologised and sorted out without the need for my name and address!

Aside from total chaos and them failing to register one of the 20 cards I bought, leading to a serial number check for 30 minutes they were happy to sell me £300 worth for £200 where I live. Unfortunately that was all they had. 1/3 off iTunes purchases for 2 years is not a bad deal!

Apparently Morrisons in the UK are doing a similar deal according to the Argos shop manager.....

Just went to pick up my 8 cards under two different reservations.

The woman kind of screwed up a little causing a massive queue behind me, ah well.

Still a stupidly good deal

I had quite a few problems as well. I'd reserved 4 at my local Argos (Walsall). When I got there, they didn't have any left at first, but it turns out that they'd just put them in the stock cupboard. After they'd found them (10 minutes) we then proceeded to buy them, which was fine, but I suspected that one of the cards didn't activate properly - turns out I was right. Luckily had my iPhone on me so we could resolve it there and then, but it all turned out okay in the end.

Felt pretty sorry for the staff really because it wasn't their fault and they were all very nice about it, but I'm quite happy with the deal.
