When is the UK promotion due to start, what can we expect and is it really worth the wait?

For most people it is worth it. You can get an iPod touch and a printer if needed free via rebate which is really helpful if you wanted that iPod. You can also put the £150 that the 8GB iPod Touch is worth towards a high capacity version (32GB and 64GB). If you don't want the iPod, you can always sell it on eBay etc. so your new Mac is actually costing you less.

I got mine last year with an iPod Touch which I gave to my father.

Began on 28th May I believe? And it ran until the 4th September, one day until Apples next release of iPod's 😛

I got the free printer and 'free' iPod via rebate.
