What's broadband coverage like in the US? I've heard that it's comparatively low. Here in NZ it's around 95%.

We're paying US$35/month for 4mbit/512k (yeah, that's right, I can upload faster than a bunch of you guys can download :D). Nice to be in the U.S. The third best country for broadband.

Er, I think...
That's a great deal! Still, I far more happy with the broadband situation in the UK now that I was a couple of years ago. At least now the high speeds are available, and the prices are reasonable.

Yes. And it'll bug you if you don't try it for yourself. It's the easiest one to set up but also similarly dissapointing. Much better to buy 3 cheap controllers and get some mates round!!

damn...mates.

All mine have grown-up and turned their backs on the good ole days doing all nighters playing Resident Evil, Colin McRae, Soul Caliber etc etc. Not to forget the nights wasted fragging PC Quakers on Demons Quake 3 servers...ahh happy times.

Getting back to your reply, disappointing you say? I what way? Empty servers? Full of lamers? Bad servers? Your answer could save me a fortune :)

Well there seems to be some good people on there but many are lamers, and the coupla games I've got that that are Live Compatable don't have many servers full...

But still, have a go on someone elses before giving up

Bloody right, I feel the need to go kick some doors in... :D

Here in France I've just been upgraded to 5MB (from my previous 2.5MB) for free.

France's "unbundled loop" (no, I don't know what it means either) telecoms deregulation means that third-party companies can offer some fantastic deals. Here I am with 5MB at home (only 512KB upload mind you) and my office has a lousy 2MB!

Driving to work today I saw an ad where you can now get 8MB ADSL for.....

.......wait for it....

......15 Euro a month!

I read somewhere that in Sweden you can get 100MB for 80Euro a month. Can any Swedish members out there confirm??
