UK O2 website say they are in stock too. So 140 up front then 49.50 over 2 years is actually not bad for 10 gig data, with Pro only costing £10 more than Apple Store (908).

But how many would need that amount of data if mostly using pro at home wifi? The lower entry points all charge more for the device which effectively is O2 way of making money on the device.

If you're ok paying the up front cost I would just get a SIM only deal personally.

For example Three have a 12 month 15GB per month deal for £18 a month.

And that means you're only locked in for one year rather than two, you get more data, and you have an unlocked iPad.

If you're mainly using your iPad at home then maybe look at pay as you go deals, e.g. Three have one that's £70 ish for 15GB to use over a year. While that's very expensive per gigabyte, if you're only going to use that much data over the year then it's a cheaper way.

Yes the PAYG option is good but I do not think much of three, very poor reception and the carrot of using in Europe was not so great again very bad connectivity. O2 3 month 5gig was down to £21 so not bad. Didn't want to spend it all upfront but I guess it works out much the cheapest. Problem is after playing with Pro this morning in store, I really would like it sooner than later!
