I wonder if I should have ordered the 680MX now but hey ho! I don't care, it's on its way. I don't game so doubt I need it anyhow.

I was in exactly the same situation, in fact originally ordered what you did but changed my order because realised I wanted the better GPU more than I needed the i7. Tough decision though. Not sure if I made the right one but it's going to be here Monday or Tuesday so just hoping the screen is perfect

this is very odd mine came in from pudong Shanghai to Heathrow in one hop on VIR251 flight yesterday.

I do not understand why they come into the UK via different routes

You are very lucky. Most people's machines will take in numerous legs of the journey, primarily to do with filling every bit of empty space on every single long haul flight and couriers now having systems to hunt down the cheapest possibly flight within certain time limits. Also add to that each different courier company has different central and regional hubs, you get the gist. The options get exponential very quickly if you map out all the options.

My replacement arrived in Milano Friday afternoon. Tomorrow is indicated as D(elivery)-day :D

I hope it doesn't have an hardware defect because I don't intend to wait for a 3rd one.

Found my iMac currently 36000ft travelling at 433kts (500mph), that's one fast computer ;)

I think it's just that the site is busy, it's not holding up the orders.

I ordered the same spec as you (apart from the apple RAM) on 13/12, and i'm still processing :(

Probably, I was hoping to see my order status updated. Really that long? Seems like Apple are having trouble meeting the orders. Just hope they ship sometime soon:rolleyes:

OK, it’s shipped now... but now what to do next, what to do with that number? How to track it down? Where to see or to go? How it all works? :D

Thanks!

I think the backlog is now starting to clear...mine was kind of strange..ordered on the 14th December and sat in Processing until last Wednesday...then preparing for shipment for 8 hours or so, then shipped, delivers this Friday. Apple are starting to make inroads despite just how frustrating it is, hang in there...your order status WILL change.

iMac has landed in Heathrow, how long will it take to deliver? Apple have estimated another 7 days?

Mine sat there for a day awaiting customs clearance then another day for onward delivery to a central hub where it arrived yesterday. Nothing since - I guess no working over the weekend so, at best guess, I assume they will despatch tomorrow for delivery Tuesday.

Hi guys,
My iMac seemed to stuck somewhere between Abu Dhabi and London for nearly four days now! Does anyone has the same problem?!
PS. Apart from Expeditors I can't track it anywhere else e.g. Ups, should I be worry or it's normal?
Cheers :) :apple:

Check again! Seems it got confused as to what flight it was on and it seems to have landed in LHR last night and cleared customs lunchtime today.. Waiting patiently for the UPS tracking now.. :)

I take it from above that mine is in Germany and now on route to me ?
Does it fly to say Heathrow first ?
Its delivery date is Wednesday it says.
Have I decoded this right ?

Thanks (ordered 13th Dec)

Sadly I think it's still in the UAE. No doubt will be in Germany by the time you wake up tomorrow. This phrase "Package data processed by brokerage. Waiting for clearance" is what threw me, thought mine was in Germany when it's just prep work ahead of the arrival...

It's there now, due for delivery Wednesday 16th, hoping they shave off a day or two but now not really expecting a nice surprise tomorrow

haha identical tracking to mine :D:D

How are you all tracking your items with flight numbers etc?

Just go to here with your tracking number from Apple - begins 82 and off you go!

Oops - flight numbers are shown on the first page so, for mine, Virgin Airways 251 so this means VIR251 (think Virgin is VIR). After that head to here to check flights.
