Ordered 2nd January, prepared for shipping 13th, shipped today for delivery 22nd Jan. feel very lucky (unless they change the date)!

It's *HUGE*, beautiful, fast and runs so cold! :D

Screen doesn't seem to suffer from any problems. I eed to use it for movies to judge the backlight. It's galaxies apart from my old 20" iMac with TN panel :)

Wierd, the money was taken out of my account when I ordered. 30th dec. now it's just reappeared.

normal procedure. they will take the money when they are ready to ship
when you order they check for funds, and then that hold on that money drops off. it never went anywhere, just the bank expect it to so your available funds show it gone, when it is not.

my order on December 18, paid by bank transfer, the day December 28 status changes in "processing items" and january 15, the state has changed in "preparing for shipment! yeah!

UPDATING
This night, january 16, has changed the order status to "shipped" date of arrival January 22!

Well the better half has just sent me a message saying there's a rather large box waiting for me at home ( now now don't be rude!!)

God today is going to be a long long day in the office :)
Hope everyone who is waiting doesn't have to wait too much longer!!

It'll get it up to room temperature in time for your arrival! Tell the Missus to bring it in, it'll be no good by the recycling bin outside especially if it's raining :-O

Out of interest, what was your estimated delivery date, name of courrier company and which route did your machine take?

Hi everybody!
could you tell me which number do you use to track your shipment and on which website?
Cause I just have no usefull tracking info on the Shipment status page.
the only info I get is:
- Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) Jan 18, 2013
- In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule
- Additional Order Numbers Shipped to PARIS, FR Jan 09, 2013
- Product Description APP FOR IMAC IMAC 27"/QC
- Our Delivery Reference Number
- and Your PO Number.

But nothing about the delivery service. And I tested to use the "82...." number on TNT or UPS but no luck.

Hey, choose your own quips!!

To answer your question, the 82 number goes into www.expeditors.com

If your delivery is via UPS, you may not get anything out of that website, in which case you will need the long 25 digit number that Apple sent you with the shipment notice to stick into the UPS tracking system.

The Apple shipment email should have the following categories:

Additional Order Numbers
Assigned Carrier
Tracking Number THIS ONE HERE FOR UPS TRACKING
Shipped to
Product Description
Our Delivery Reference Number THIS ONE HERE FOR EXPEDITORS
Your PO Number

Ha...it's sat in the spare room at the moment so all is well - I never actually got an estimated delivery date from Apple just a "Shipping in Jan"
Followed the route on the expeditors site and it left Shanghai to Abu Dhabi on the 12/13 and then to London where it was delivered to UPS yesterday as far as I can tell

Very efficient..especially for an 8.30am UPS delivery as I live in the middle of nowhere

Shipped !

Mine ordered on the 1st Jan went to shipped yesterday with a delivery date of 21st. Checked the tracking number with UPS which said expected delivery date of the 17th !

Re-checked Apple order tracking this morning which has moved to the 17th also. (Latest is China -> Korea and has departed there).

Personally I went to http://www.ups.com/WebTracking/track?loc=en_IE select the "Track by Reference" link and use the 82... number on there.

Mine is destined for the UK

Thanks a lot for your answer!
But that's the point: the only number they sent me by email was the Apple shipment reference number "82....". And if I use it on expeditors, the answer is "No data available in table".

Hmm. Mind boggles. Ring Apple and try and get the rest of the details?

Or try the Apple order number (the one beginning with W) and/or the 82 number on a few courrier websites?

Just had a call with Apple telling me it's normal I couldn't track it until it arrives to the EU center. He told it just been delivered to Amsterdam center from which it should be sent directly to home by carrier (UPS, TNT, etc).
And soooo, I should be able to track this last part of my iMac journey today with a new tracking number that will be updated soon in my apple account...
Finally !

Adding to the dataflow...

I've been over in the US iMAC delivery forum, not realising the UK party was in this room... no wonder no-one was talking to me over there...

For info... mine's a BTO order placed 30 Nov, money cleared 12 Dec, finally went to prepping a couple of days ago and Shipping yesterday - 14 Jan. They're predicitng a Jan 22 delivery... which seems pretty slow.

According to Expeditors it looks like I've got a date at Abu Dhabi of 17 Jan - why so slow - 3 days to get from Shanghai to AD?? They then predict LHR on the 19th? Is this by flying boat, by any chance?

Haha, seems i'm not the only one to have ordered on 30th november - but payment by loans so 10december officially - and will receive it only in 3 days...
Just amazing to think this is real and this is from Apple. 2300€ and one month and a half for delivery. Pretty upset honestly

Crikey, looks like the people who paid with finance got pushed right to the back of the line. It'll soon be to hand though so I am sure it'll be worth it...

Welcome to the right thread @Panomania56
