The UK thread always goes down great in the iPhone forum, and others too!

Why not in the iMac forum? :p

If you've placed an order for one of the new iMacs, share below!

Personally I went for:

Screen Shot 2015-10-13 at 23.45.04.png

Looking for third party RAM.

Should be here between the 20th and 22nd!

I went with the 27 inch one:
3.2GHz QC i5, TB up to 3.6GHz, 8GB 1867MHz DDR3L (2x4GB), 3TB Fusion Drive, AMD Radeon R9 M390 w/2GB
Going to be buying some RAM as well after people have found out which ones work.
Should be the same dates as you, hopefully it'll arrive on the 20th :)

Are you guys going to put bootcamp on these? I am really interested to see the performance difference between the 390 and 395 before i order, if someone could check with GPUZ I would be forever grateful

Ignore my question, I went ahead and ordered the m395. I figure I have 2 weeks to return it if it doesn't meet expectations or is only marginally better than the m390

Originally got the 256 SSD, decided to cancel and re-order the 512 for a bit more future proofing.

512 still isn't enough for all my media - but it's gives a bit more breathing room.

At first I wanted to 'save' some money. Then I realised I would probably regret it in 6 months to a year.
  • 3.3GHz QC i5, TB up to 3.9GHz
  • 8GB 1867MHz DDR3L (2x4GB)
  • 512GB Flash Storage
  • AMD Radeon R9 M395 w/2GB
Should come next week, 20th-22nd October.

Will get extra RAM some point in the not too distant future (already have 20GB on my current machine so will probably be sooner than later..)

It appears configs with all-flash were ready to ship and I guess already in the UK. Fusion Drive models seem not to be, and therefore are taking longer. Do post plenty of pics and benchmarks and all that good stuff when they arrive! :)

Mine is the 2tb fusion. I chose the top standard config and also the magic mouse so it would be despatched straight away

Has your order status changed online? I haven't received a text but I have the same delivery dates as you.

Ordered, again (had went for a 21.5 4K on launch day but cancelled it within an hour of placing it)

So it plumped for a 27" 3.3ghz, 8GB ram, 512 SSD, M395. The cost over the mid-range model with 3.2ghz and M390 was around £80 so I went for the marginally higher spec. I was considering the M395X but it pushed the price to over £2000 which I wasn't totally comfortable with. But my mac at £1887 (employee discount) is still a lot of money.

Now to look for external drives......

For anyone who gets gets a text from Apple saying that their order will be delivered earlier than they expected, make sure it is not just AppleCare being delivered!

I ordered a new iMac this morning and was given a delivery date of 21-23rd October. I just received a text from Apple saying that my order will be delivered tomorrow and got all excited for a few minutes, until an email arrived that clarified that it was just the AppleCare bit. I don't usually go for it, so I didn't realise that it is a physical item!

Thanks for that.

have you pressed the button on a 21.5 retina or the 27''?
